Shakedown Circus is a Columbus-based empowerment performance platform celebrating diverse bodies and radical self-expression. Our productions challenge shame through bold, inclusive entertainment and we (big) top it off with a cast-selected donation to a local Columbus charity, amplifying our impact beyond the stage.

This circus themed burlesque show raised close to 4K for a local immigrant refugee program in 2014, Shakedown's debut.
At our 2015 Shakedown we created 2K for the historic theater association Short North Stage.
Since then, Shakedown has made donations to Columbus chapter Planned Parenthood, Motherful, and ACLU Ohio.

Notes from the Creative Director- The mission of Shakedown is that afterward, when you hear a certain track, the memory of what you’ve seen here tonight, will arise in your mind’s eye, like a crystal clear vision, as it did for me.
